How to Convert Kelvin to Celsius
Converting Kelvin to Celsius is one of the simpler temperature conversions out there. There's no multiplication involved, no complicated ratios. You just subtract a fixed number from your Kelvin value and you're done.
The reason it's that straightforward is that Kelvin and Celsius use the same size degree. One degree of change on the Kelvin scale is exactly equal to one degree of change on the Celsius scale. The only difference between them is where zero is placed. Celsius sets its zero at the freezing point of water; Kelvin sets its zero at the coldest possible temperature in the universe.
So to go from K to °C, all you do is shift the number down by 273.15. That's it. No other steps required.
